BSCC State Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Meeting May 18, Dierkhising Appointed.

The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) is holding their next State Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Meeting on May 18th. The meeting will be held at 9:30 am in the BSCC’s office located at 2590 Venture Oaks Way, Room 101. Topics of the meeting include: Proposition 47 and Strengthening Law Enforcement Grant updates. And Governor Jerry Brown announced he has appointed Carly Bailey Dierkhising to the BSCC’s State Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

She has been an assistant professor at the UCLA School of Criminal Justice and Criminalistics since 2014. She was a graduate student researcher at the University of California, Riverside from 2009 to 2014 and held several positions at the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress from 2008 to 2013, including special program manager for juvenile justice and service systems program coordinator.

She was an adjunct professor at the California Lutheran University from 2008 to 2009 and a clinical intern at the Los Angeles County Probation Department from 2007 to 2008. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in developmental psychology from the University of California, Riverside.
