Cal OES Grant Request for Proposals

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), Victim Services and Public Safety Branch released the Electronic Suspected Child Abuse Report System (ES) Program Request for Proposal (RFP). The purpose of the ES Program is to establish a county database which allows for the sharing of electronic suspected child abuse reports among district attorney’s offices, local law enforcement, and county child welfare departments.

Eligible Applicants are district attorney’s offices; rural/suburban projects will be funded up to $250,000 and urban projects will be funded up to $350,000 with Children’s Justice Act funding. The ES Program will have a 39-month grant cycle, comprising of one 15-month performance period, and two 12-month performance periods. The first performance period will begin October 1, 2017, and end on December 31, 2018. A non-competitive application for continuation funding must be submitted for the second and third year of funding. Proposals are due by Friday, September 29, 2017.
