The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the
Secretary’s First
Annual Report on Transparency in the Review and Approval of
Section 1115 Demonstration (Amendments to the SSA and Title II of
this Act). This report to Congress provides a comprehensive
history of federal public notice and comment policies applied to
state Medicaid and CHIP demonstration projects and highlights
federal transparency actions taken on state applications for 1115
demonstrations through September 2015.
Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System Waiver Webinar
Yesterday the Department of Health Care Services convened a
webinar on the approved Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery Systems
(DMC-ODS) waiver amendment. Implementation is being done on a
regional basis in five phases:
Phase I – Bay Area
Phase II – Southern California
Phase III – Central Valley
Phase IV – Northern California
Phase V – Tribal Delivery System
Implementation in Phase I, the bay area counties is currently
underway and DHCS expects implementation plans from those
counties to be received in the near future. Implementation is set
to begin in the Southern California counties in early November.
