Counties across California are facing a wide range of public
safety and justice challenges, ranging from providing services to
the mentally ill and homeless populations, prison and jail
reentry services, police community relations, and providing
comprehensive services to victims of crime.
The state budget in the past and as currently proposed provides
many opportunities for counties to fund programs and services
that address all of the public safety challenges they are
facing.

pm – 1:45 pm, that will provide information about grant programs
by the Board of Community Corrections (BSCC) and the Governor’s
Office of Emergency Services (OES) that can help fund these
