The Department of Business Oversight (DBO) is seeking comments on
a draft of new regulations for Property Assessed Clean
Energy (PACE) programs, in anticipation of initiating a formal
rule-making action with the Office of Administrative Law later
this year. The deadline to submit comments to DBO is June 8.
Governor Brown signed
AB 1284 (Chapter 475, Statutes 2017) last year granting
authority to license PACE program administrators and regulate the
PACE industry. Starting January 1, 2019, PACE program
administrators must be licensed by the DBO in order do business
in California.
