In the next few weeks, the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) will be hosting webinars of interest to CSAC members. More details on the webinars are below:

September 6 – Supporting Families Affected by Opioid and Other Substance Use Disorders

SAMHSA and the Administration on Children, Youth, and Families, Children’s Bureau will be presenting information on current data on the opioid crisis and child welfare services, changes the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act and Plan of Safe Care Provision made to the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act, strategies for strengthening collaboration between systems working with pregnant women with opioid and other substance use disorder, and lessons learned and best practices for addressing prenatal substance exposure. September 11 – Designing an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Approach

This is part one of a two-part webinar series presented by SAMHSA’s Centers for Excellence for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC), which together will provide a sequential deep dive into components of the Models Section of the IECMHC Toolbox. Part One will provide a broad overview of the main parts of the Models Planning Guide and highlight the steps involved in designing an IECMHC approach. Register by September 8 here .
