Solano County Joins CSAC-Results First Partnership

June 8, 2017

The Solano County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously this week to join the CSAC-Results First partnership to create a baseline for their criminal justice programs and engage in evidenced-based practices. CSAC partnered with The Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative in 2015 in an effort to support county leaders as they engage in evidence-based policy making that seeks to invest in programs that will produce the best outcomes for residents and the highest rate of return on the counties’ investments.

Since then, we have expanded to Santa Clara, Ventura, Nevada and now Solano counties. Solano County is the second county to be fully supported by CSAC through the CSAC technical assistance hub. The Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative is a joint project of The Pew Charitable Trusts and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. It is a capacity-building initiative to provide jurisdictions with tools to make informed, data-driven decisions.

CSAC is enthusiastic to expand the technical assistance to other counties. If you are interested in learning more about the CSAC-Results First partnership, please contact our Program Coordinator Amalia Mejia at amejia@counties.org.
