Upcoming Webinar: PRIME Program Update

December 7, 2017

The California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (CAPH) and the California Health Care Safety Net Institute (SNI) will host a webinar on the progress and impact California’s public health care systems are making in PRIME (Public Hospital Redesign and Incentives in Medi-Cal), which is a key part of the Medi-Cal 2020 waiver. The Webinar is scheduled for Thursday, December 14 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Registration information is available here.

PRIME is a pay-for-performance delivery system improvement program and one of the cornerstones of the Medi-Cal 2020 waiver, providing up to $3.2 billion in funding to California’s public health care systems if all targets are met. The program is nothing short of ambitious, with a minimum of nine required projects spanning outpatient delivery system transformation, improving care for high-risk populations, and efficient resource stewardship.

The webinar will cover the fundamentals of the PRIME program including reporting, metrics, performance data, and implementation trends after two full years of the program. Two participating health systems, Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Ventura County Medical Center, will share their on-the-ground perspective around improving care delivery, data analytics, and performance improvement to support success in PRIME, as well as the patient impact.

Additional resources, including a recording of the webinar and the presentation deck will be posted after the webinar here.
