Victim Services Grant Deadline Extended

March 25, 2016

You have a little extra time to apply for victim services grants from the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). They have extended the deadline for the Request for Application (RFA) for the County Victim Services (XC) Program from April 12th to May 24. This is for grants covering fiscal years 2016/2017 and 2017/2018

The County Victim Services Program will support each of California’s 58 counties, and the City of Los Angeles, in providing direct services to victims. Cal OES recognizes that there are unmet gaps/needs at the county level in regards to providing these direct services. This one-time, two-year Program will allow each county (and the City of Los Angeles) the opportunity to identify these gaps/needs in victim services and develop a plan (plan must include measurable objectives) to meet these gaps/needs.

There is $40,000,000 (plus match) available for the XC Program. Cal OES will fund all 58 counties, and the City of Los Angeles, for one, 24-month performance period beginning July 1, 2016, and ending June 30, 2018.

The XC Application package must be received by May 24, 2016.For questions regarding this RFA, please contact Jennifer Fowler, Criminal Justice Unit Specialist, via email at jennifer.fowler@caloes.ca.gov.

The XC RFA can be found on the Cal OES website.
