$31.36 – $37.59 Hourly    $2,508.80 – $3,007.20 Biweekly    $5,435.73 – $6,515.60 Monthly    $65,228.80 – $78,187.20 Annually

Description:

The list established by this recruitment will be used to fill current and future positions.
Accountant-Auditor II is the fully qualified working level class in the Accountant-Auditor series. Incumbents in this class work more independently, and perform a full range of professional level duties in the auditing division.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Two years of professional level accounting, including auditing experience, preferably in a government agency.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in accounting.

Certificate:

Possession of a current, active, Certified Public Accountant Certificate issued by the State of California shall be considered equivalent to the above education and would qualify for 5% premium pay.

License or Certificate:

Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.

Continuing Education Requirement:

Persons in this class who are assigned to perform auditing work are required by the United States General Accounting Office to complete 80 hours of continuing education, including 24 hours in governmental accounting, every two years. Continuing education is provided at the County’s expense.
