$7,916 to $10,166 per month

The ideal candidate for Accounting Manager has three to five years of increasingly responsible public agency finance and accounting experience, including at least one year of supervisory responsibility; is skilled at coordinating finance activities and operations, including budget preparation, financial reporting and analysis, and working with independent auditors; has excellent communication and interpersonal skills; is committed to the principles and practices of public administration, including governmental transparency; and is motivated by the great professional growth and satisfaction that comes from working in an environment ripe with challenge and possibility.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Education: Bachelor’s degree with major course work in accounting, finance, economics, business or public administration or a closely related field. Degrees and college units must be obtained from an accredited college or university. Course from non-accredited institutions will not be considered for this requirement.

Experience: Three to five years of increasingly responsible public agency finance and accounting experience, including at least one year of supervisory responsibility.
