Description:

The County of Sonoma County Administrator’s Office is seeking an experienced professional with the knowledge, talent, and passion for collaboratively working with staff, department heads, other agencies, and the Board of Supervisors to carry out projects and policy initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the creation and development of motivations and strategies to engage the community and further the County’s goals.

Under the direction of the Community and Government Affairs Manager (CGAM), the Administrative Analyst will support the County’s community and government affair efforts by performing complex work related to legislative advocacy, communications, community engagement, and Board led priority projects or committees.

The Administrative Analyst will also serve as liaison to selected County departments, performing complex work related to the review and analysis of departmental budgets, staffing plans, program services, systems, and procedures; collaborating with departments and the County Administrator to expand efficiencies, improve services, produce additional revenue, and/or maximize resources; and reviewing legislation to analyze foreseeable impacts and recommend appropriate courses of action. 

Qualifications:

II Level: Education & Experience: Normally, academic coursework in public administration, business administration, management, accounting, political science, economics, statistics, English composition, psychology or closely related courses; and two years work experience related to general administration, accounting, budgetary analysis, or personnel work including research, analysis and preparation of written reports and recommendations would provide such opportunity.

III Level: Education & Experience: Normally, academic coursework in public administration, business administration, management, accounting, political science, economics, statistics, English composition, psychology or closely related courses; and three years work experience related to general administration, accounting, budgetary analysis, or personnel work including research, analysis and preparation of written reports and recommendations would provide such opportunity.
