Description:

The County of Napa is currently establishing an eligibility list to fill one (1) Full-Time vacancy within the Agricultural Commissioner’s /Sealer of Weights & Measures Office. The Agricultural/Weights and Measures Inspector I/II/III job series can be filled at any level, depending on qualifications and required licensure. This recruitment will fill a vacant Inspector I/II/III position in the Weights & Measures program. The primary work assignments will fall within the scope of the various Weights & Measures programs in the Ag Commissioner’s Office.

Qualifications:

Possession of one of the following licenses issued by the California Department of Food and Agricultural: Pesticide Regulation, Pest Prevention and Plant Regulation or Weight Verification is highly desirable. Applicants who are otherwise acceptable, but who lack the required license, may be appointed with the provision that one of the desirable licenses is obtained within six months after initial appointment. Failure to obtain licensure will result in termination of employment.

Possession of a valid California State Driver’s license.

Must obtain a Class A driver’s license within 9 months to 1 year after employment.
