$81,016 – $98,904 annually; salary effective 7/1/18: $86,029 - $105,019 annually

Description:

The County of Nevada, California, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, seeks an Airport Manager to plan, organize and direct the operation of the County Airport to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Caltrans Division of Aeronautics Standards in a manner comparable to private business, ensuring the operation is fiscally sound; provide expert professional advice to the Board of Supervisors, Airport Commission, and County management staff in areas of responsibility; and perform related work as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, finance, public administration or technical field; and four years of increasingly responsible experience in airport operation or related field such as management of a major facility, freight or logistics. Four years’ experience must include at least two years at a supervisory or management level. Directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the educational requirement. In addition, possession of both a Certified Airport Executive certificate from the California Association of Airport Executives, and a Recreational or Private Pilot Certificate desirable.
