Salary:

Level I – $4272-$5190; Level II – $4479-$5448; Level III - $4693-$5701 (monthly salary paid over 26 pay periods annually)

Description:

Performs inspections, analyzes data, and performs other related tasks in determining value of real property.

Qualifications:

Appraiser I: A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or similar technical or scientific field, OR must possess 4 years of relevant experience as specified in the CCR, Title 18, Rule 283. Must be eligible to receive a temporary Appraiser’s Certificate issued by the California State Board of Equalization; must remain valid until a permanent certificate is obtained.
Appraiser II: Must meet requirements for Appraiser I, plus 1 year of experience as an appraiser in an Assessor’s Office with a permanent Appraiser certificate; OR possess 4 years of relevant experience in the last 10 years as a Real Property Appraiser licensed by the CA Department of Real Estate (must obtain a permanent California Appraiser’s Certificate within 1 year of appointment).
Appraiser III: Must meet requirements for Appraiser I; PLUS 3 years of experience performing journey-level duties similar to those performed by an Appraiser II in the Inyo County Assessor’s Office.
