Architectural Services Manager

The incumbent reports directly to the Assistant Director of Public Works and is responsible for providing direction and leadership in the planning, organizing, financing, scheduling and implementation of the County-wide Annual and Five Year Capital Improvements Programs, the Twenty Year Capital Improvement Fiscal Plan and the Facilities Master Plan.
The position is responsible for the management of capital improvement and capital projects from concept development, design, financing, contracting, construction, and closeout and move-in.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree (graduate degree preferred) in Architecture, Civil or Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
Experience: Six (6) years of experience in construction and/or capital improvement project management and five (5) years of experience in a senior level management capacity.
Other: A valid Certificate as a Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering issued by the California Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors is desired; A California architect license is PREFERRED. Possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
