Salary:

$35 – $45, hourly, depending on qualifications

Description:

Working for Local Government Services and assigned to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in Oakland, CA this position supports the asset management program and repair planning.  

Primary focus of the position will be:
• Implementation of transit asset management systems in response to federal authorization, 
• Enhancements to the existing Regional Transit Capital Inventory,
• Coordination of asset management activities with the transit operators,
• Coordination of regional asset management across modes,
• Local streets and roads and highway asset management programs as needed, and
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a BA from an accredited college or university, in urban planning, transportation planning, or public administration or related AND 2 years of recent and verifiable experience, in a field such as:  transit, transportation planning, contract management, or project administration/management.

A Master’s degree and one year of graduate work in a discipline related to the position may be substituted for required education & experience.  Additional professional work experience is preferred.
