Description:

The County of San Benito, located on California’s Central Coast, seeks to fill the Assistant Auditor position who will plan, organize, and direct the financial and administrative functions of County Auditor Office; oversee and direct accounting analysis, auditing, and budget administration; to provide supervision and training for County Auditor Office staff; perform a variety of difficult, complex, and specialized assignments in the auditing of County financial records and conduct fiscal and budget administration; as well as represent the County Auditor’s Office to other County departments and government agencies.

Qualifications:

Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be a Bachelors Degree with a major in accounting, business administration, business law, or a related field from an accredited four (4) year college or university and five years of progressively responsible administrative, management experience which included broad and extensive professional work experience in accounting, auditing and financial analysis, including experience with government agency financial data.
