$8,850.54 – $12,390.75 DOE

Description:

The Assistant Auditor-Controller assists in planning, administering and directing of the department’s auditing, accounting, and systems analysis work performed by the Auditor-Controller’s office; is charged with coordinating the department’s activities through the appropriate section chiefs and staff personnel; and acts for the Auditor-Controller in his/her absence. This position is exempt from civil service.

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting or its equivalent. Experience: Has served within the last five years in a senior fiscal management position in a county, city, or other public agency, a private firm, or a non-profit organization, dealing with similar fiscal responsibilities, for a continuous period of not less than three years. A valid California certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) is desirable.
