$89,357.58 – $108,156.88 Annually

Description:

Under administrative direction, to assist with planning, organizing, directing, managing, and reviewing the services of the County Counsel Department; to serve as legal advisor for the Board of Supervisors, all county departments, local school districts, special districts, and various boards and commissions, ensuring that decisions are made and policies formulated with an appreciation for possible legal consequences; to represent the county and local government entities in litigation; and to do related work as required.
This is a management classification for the position which has responsibility for assisting with managing and directing the services of the County Counsel Department, as well as serving as a legal advisor for the Board of Supervisors, County, and local government agencies.

Qualifications:

Five years of professional civil legal experience work, including experience in providing legal services for a government agency and one year in a supervisory or management capacity. Land Use and experience working with a Planning Commission or similar appointed or elected body are highly desirable. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid and appropriate driver’s license. Current membership in the State Bar of California.
