$133,432 – $16,795/year

Description:

Will assist the Director of Behavioral Health & Recovery Services in the planning, organizing, directing and coordinating of behavioral health services that includes mental health and substance use services provided by the County and through contracted providers. In addition, the champion of continuous process improvement will recommend, develop, implement and evaluate outcomes, objectives, policies and procedures related to system performance and quality improvement; coordinate services with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; act as the principal liaison with the Health Plan of San Mateo; participate with groups at the regional and State level such as the County of Behavioral Health Directors Association of California (CBHDA); act as the Compliance Officer for BHRS; and oversee complex personnel and risk issues.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include a Master’s degree with course work in clinical psychology, social work, nursing or related discipline, 4 years of administrative experience in the field of mental health, alcohol and other drug services and/or behavioral health, including at least 1 year of significant responsibility for one or more of the following: personnel, clinical services, administration or quality and performance management. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills.
