Salary: 

$18.37 – $22.10 per hour

Description:

Major duties of the job include professional level work in current or advanced planning, zoning, design and environmental review; gather and maintain demographic data and other statistics; research, analyze and interpret social, economic, population and land use data and trends; compile information and make recommendations on special studies; prepare technical reports; make presentations to the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, developers, community groups and outside agencies; check commercial, industrial and residential development plans for issuance of zone clearance; confer with and advise architects, builders, attorneys, contractors, engineers and general public regarding County development policies and standards; process permit applications; prepare graphic displays.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban or rural/regional community planning, business, construction trades, geography, or a related field; or an acceptable combination of experience and education that would demonstrate required knowledge and abilities. Applicants graduating in the Spring of 2015 are also encouraged to apply.
Experience: No direct experience is required. Experience in related activities preferred.
License: Valid driver’s license.
