Description:

Located in the heart of California’s Central Valley, Madera County has a rich agricultural tradition which coexists with a growing industrial base. The Assistant Tax Collector-Treasures will assist with planning, directing, managing, and overseeing the functions, operations, and services of the Tax Collector - Treasurer’s Office; provide daily supervision and training to staff; to supervise and oversee the maintenance of accurate tax rolls and tax collection records, including treasury related services; perform a variety of administrative support work; provide information and assistance to the public; and serve as the Tax Collector – Treasurer as necessary.

Qualifications:

Five (5) years of increasingly responsible financial and account record keeping experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience preferably working with a governmental agency.

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, public administration, business administration, economics, mathematics or a related field.
