$91,953.95 – $128,735.53 Annually

Description:

Under direction of the Treasurer-Tax Collector, plans, directs, coordinates and executes the activities of the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s office.  The Assistant Treasurer-Tax Collector manages the Treasury, Tax Collection, and Investment operations on a day-to-day basis, and is responsible for the formulation and implementation of sound management, accounting, and investment procedures that comply with established technical and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this classification, an individual must possess extensive experience in management, accounting and computerized systems that would likely lead to the acquisition of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. The position requires a baccalaureate or postgraduate degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, economics, accounting, finance, or a closely related field; AND at least four (4) years of increasingly responsible management experience in financial operations, banking, finance, auditing, professional accounting in a public or private setting; presently working or recent experience working at the senior management level for a government agency or private financial corporation; Investment experience in either a public or private finance setting; some supervisory experience.
