Salary:

$40.52 – $48.70 Hourly;  $84,281.60 – $101,296.00 Annually

Description:

The Associate Engineer performs difficult professional field and office engineering work. They serve as project leader on special/major projects or assignments and perform difficult research work while preparing comprehensive reports and making recommendations on engineering problems.

Transportation (CIP): Project management of Napa County transportation related capital improvement projects during the planning, environmental clearance/permitting, design and construction project delivery phases. Additional assignments will include engineering and transportation planning.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Three years of professional-level engineering experience in areas relevant to the project management and transportation engineering aspects of the position.

Education:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.

License or Certificate:

Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil or mechanical engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. Registration as a Traffic Engineer is highly desirable.
