$33.45 – $52.79 Hourly – $5,798.47 – $9,150.13 Monthly - $69,581.62 – $109,801.54 Annually

Description:

The Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District has an opportunity for an Associate Flood Control Planner (Environmental Planner). The Environmental Planner will be responsible for writing and reviewing proposals and environmental reports, submitting permit applications to federal and state regulatory agencies, approving permits, and performing biological habitat assessments. The District desires candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Law, Biology, Geology, Geography, Planning, or a related environmental field.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in planning, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or a closely related field. (A Master’s degree in planning, public administration, biology, chemistry, civil engineering, environmental sciences, or a closely related field may substitute for one year of the non-specialized required experience.)

Experience:
OPTION I
Water Resource Planning Review: Two years of responsible professional planning or engineering experience which includes one year of public works planning or engineering.

OPTION II Environmental Planning: Two years of responsible professional environmental planning experience.
