$81,993.60 – $98,404.80 Annually

Description:

This recruitment is being conducted to fill one full-time vacancy. The list established may be used to fill future permanent, limited-term, part-time, and extra help vacancies for up to one year.

The Attorney I is the entry-level classification of this flexibly staffed series. Incumbents at this level handle the less difficult cases and assignments, while learning their respective duties and responsibilities. As experience, knowledge, skills and abilities are acquired, and as the department’s operational needs allow, the degree and complexity of assignments will correspondingly increase, allowing the Attorney I to promote up to the next level in the job series.

Qualifications:

Experience:
None required; however, prior jury trial experience and/or experience in a District Attorney’s Office is highly desirable.

Education:
Graduation from an accredited law school.

License or Certificate:
Active membership in the California State Bar Association is required prior to time of hire; and possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
