Description:

Siskiyou County is seeking applicants to perform a variety of complex professional legal work, research and represent the County Counsel on assigned cases, analyse facts of cases and legal precedents; advise county departments, boards, commissions, and special districts on procedural and substantive law; accept administrative responsibility for coordinating legal services for an assigned area; plan and coordinate investigation for legal cases; and perform related work as required.

Qualifications:

A minimum of five years of full time professional work experience. Seeking candidates with transactional or litigation experience in land use planning and approvals, CEQA, SMARA, special district governance and operations, or Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg, as well as general experience in municipal law.  To be eligible as an Attorney IV requires a minimum of 1 year as a Siskiyou County Attorney III, Step 5.
