The Contra Costa County Office of the Auditor-Controller is offering beginning or continuing a career as a professional Internal Auditor. The Auditor Controller’s Office will fill two Auditor I vacancies located in Martinez, CA.

Internal Auditors assigned to the Internal Audit Division of the Office of the Auditor-Controller are responsible for developing and executing audit programs for the examination, verification, and analysis of financial records, procedures, and internal controls of the County departments and the preparation of the County’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

Qualifications:

Education: 1) Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, finance, accounting or a closely related field. Course work must have included at least 12 semester or 18 quarter units from among the following accounting courses: Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Governmental Accounting, Fund Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Auditing; or 2) Possession of a Certified Public Accountant Certificate, Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP) certification, or the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification.

License Required: Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
