Salary:

Level I: $3327 – $4044 / Level II: $3864 – $4697/monthly, plus an excellent benefits package, including a CalPERS Retirement Benefit formula of 2.75% @ 55 for individuals identified as “classic members” pursuant to the provisions of California’s 2013 Pension Reform Act.

With the Madera County Resource Management Agency, Building Inspectors are responsible for inspecting buildings and structures in all stages of construction, alteration, and repair for conformance with approved plans and building codes.  They perform plan checks for residential structures; issue, process, and approve building permits; and answer code enforcement and structural requirement questions for the public, architects, and engineers.

Qualifications:

Level I: Journey level building trades work experience.

Level II: 2 years of responsible building inspection experience.

Both Levels: Equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade supplemented by specialized training in construction technology or related field; and Valid ICBO or ICC Certification; and a valid CA Driver’s License. Please visit our website for detailed job requirements.
