Salary:

$130,041 – $166,670 Annually DOE

Description:

The Chief Appraiser plans and directs a real property appraisal program for property tax assessment purposes. This executive management position assists the Assessor and reports to the Assistant Assessor in the formulation, development and implementation of County appraisal policies and certification of the annual real property assessment roll.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate would typically possess sufficient education, training and work experience to demonstrate the ability to perform the tasks necessary to be successful in this role, plus permanent certification by the California State Board of Equalization as an Appraiser for property tax purposes; possession of a valid California driver’s license.

Experience Note: The experience needed for this role would normally be met through any combination of training and experience equivalent to approximately three years of experience at the level of a Senior Appraiser or higher.
