This recruitment is being conducted to fill one full-time Chief Deputy Clerk of the Board vacancy in the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, a Division of the County Administrator’s Office.

The Office of the Clerk of the Board;

The Office’s primary responsibility is to maintain the Board of Supervisors official legal records in compliance with all laws, policies, and regulations governing public organization conduct. To accurately and effectively meet legal guidelines, the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Board manages the Office’s 5 support staff who process the official business of the Board of Supervisors, Special District Boards, and related bodies. Under general direction from the Clerk of the Board, the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Board works within broad policy guidelines to plan and execute of a wide variety of statutory duties. Tact, diplomacy, and the ability to cultivate positive working relationships is required in this fast-paced, politically sensitive environment.

Qualifications:

Qualifications for this position normally include related coursework and four years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience.
