Chief Deputy of Operations
GSA is seeking a solid, innovative, and strategic leader to oversee the operations of GSA, including Building Maintenance Department, Portfolio Management, Capital Programs, Logistics Services, and Medical Facilities Development. This position serves as a member of the executive team and acts as the principal assistant to the Agency Director on matters related to operations.

The ideal candidate will develop and foster a collaborative and teamwork environment, and be innovative, creative, analytical, and ethical with the ability to lead change with business acumen and political astuteness.

Qualifications:

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.

AND

Experience:
The equivalent of eight (8) years of recent full-time increasingly responsible administrative, managerial, and fiscal/budgetary experience in operations, including planning, evaluation and implementation of building and general support services operations or capital programs. Five (5) years must include supervisory experience of professional staff.

Desired education and experience:

  • A master’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field from an accredited college or university is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the public sector is desirable.

The following certification(s) are desirable:

  • Current certification as a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California in either Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; or
  • Current certification as a Registered Architect in the State of California; or
  • Certification as a Registered Environmental Assessor in the State of California.

License:
Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
