Description:

The Social Services Agency for the County of Santa Clara, California is seeking a proven leader for the position of Public Administrator/ Guardian/Conservator. This Executive Management position works under the direction of the Director, Department of Aging and Adult Services and assists in the management, planning, organizing, and coordination of activities of the Public Administrator/Guardian/Conservator’s division and manages through subordinate managers and supervisors providing estate administration, Probate and Lanterman-Petris Short (LPS) conservatorships financial services and general administration for individuals under Court jurisdiction.

Qualifications:

An ideal candidate should be a proven executive who will be progressive, energetic, responsive, politically astute and confident leader who is flexible, a good problem solver and customer service oriented. The required knowledge and abilities required to perform this function would typically be acquired through education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Public/Business Administration, Business Management, Public Health, Social Work or a related field, and four (4) years recent administrative program management experience within a large public or private human service organization, at least two (2) years must have provided progressively responsible managerial oversight.
