Salary:

$8,609.52 – $9,491.70 with an additional 3.35% Management Differential

Description:

The Chief of Emergency Services is responsible for the overall management of emergency services and operations within the County.  The incumbent ensures the protection of persons and property in response to emergencies and disasters by developing and managing the emergency programs, and coordinating the emergency functions of the County with other political subdivisions, emergency services agencies both public and private, corporations, organizations and affected persons.  The incumbent may coordinate similar tasks for other jurisdictions as authorized by the Board of Supervisors.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
1a. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college, university, or career school in emergency management, public safety, public or business administration, or a related field;
AND
1b. Four years of full-time paid management experience with responsibility for managing and coordinating a governmental program for emergency and disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
