The Chief Financial Officer of the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System is responsible for supervising and directing subordinate managers in Budget, Reimbursement, Business Office and General Accounting. This is an executive management position that is responsible for the administration and coordination of Health and Hospital System financial activities with specific responsibilities for subordinate managers. This position also functions as the principal liaison between the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System and the County Finance Agency, and the County Office of Budget and Analysis.
A qualified candidate would typically acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this function through attainment of a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration and approximately 5 to 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting or financial administration, preferably in a health care organization which included a teaching hospital. A CPA is desirable.
