Description:
The County of Santa Barbara is seeking an experienced financial leader who has the ability to align finance with department goals. The ideal leader will have experience in assessing current systems and implementing new systems that maximize efficiencies and reduce costs while managing risks. Familiarity with local government regulations, financing, and business practices as well as a track record that reveals the ability to assist management in generating new or alternative revenue sources will be considered favorably.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; and
2. Five (5) years of professional accounting experience with at
least 2 years at a Manager level which included directly
supervising subordinate staff; or
3. A combination of education, training and experience equivalent
to the requirements above that provides the knowledge and
abilities; and
4. The core competencies listed below and the ability to
