Under the general direction of the Library’s Interim Co-directors, this position serves as the Library’s Chief Financial Officer and manages and directs the Administrative Services Division of the Sonoma County Library, including planning, coordinating, and supervising the Budget and Finance Section, the Facilities Services Section, and the Human Resources Section.
Education: Academic coursework that would provide the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and abilities listed. Normally, a Bachelor’s degree with coursework in public administration, business administration, management, accounting, political science, economics or closely related fields would provide such an opportunity.
Preferred education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, ideally with an MBA/CPA or related degree.
License: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License
Experience: Experience that would provide an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and abilities listed below. Normally, two years of progressively responsible experience in a professional fiscal or administrative staff position related to accounting, budgetary analysis, general administration work including budget preparation, fiscal analysis, research, and preparation of written reports and recommendations would provide such an opportunity..
Preferred experience: Ideally 6+ years of broad financial and operations management in a $10+ million government organization.
