Description:

The County of Trinity is looking for an experienced leader to serve as Chief Probation Officer.  The Chief Probation Officer is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Superior Court Judge.  The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage and administer the Probation Department, develop, implement and administer a juvenile correction program and effectively represent the Probation Department in contacts with the public, other County staff and other law enforcement agencies.

Qualifications:

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in sociology psychology, behavioral sciences or a closes related field is mandatory; Five years of experience performing professional probation work, including at least two years in a management or supervisory position;
Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid California Driver’s license and completion of PC 832 Training; Possession of Advanced Managerial Core Certificate from the Board of Corrections or the ability to obtain one within one year from the date of hire.
