Salary:

$8,785 – $10,678

Description:

Under operational guidance of the Superior Court Judges, plans, organizes, coordinates and administers the operations, functions and activities of adult and juvenile probation; juvenile corrections; and prevention and rehabilitation programs for adult and juvenile offenders.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree in criminology, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, public or business administration, or a closely related field; and progressively responsible administrative experience in probation, parole services, and/or corrections, including at least five (5) years at a management level.

Licenses and Other Requirements:

Persons appointed to this State mandated training during the first year of employment and forty (40) hours every year thereafter. The Chief Probation Officer is a Peace Officer and must meet the standards specified in Sections 1029 and 1031, of the California Government Code
