Description:

The Child Protective Services Worker I class is the entry into the professional Child Protective Services Worker series and is designed to develop the professional skills of persons with a Master’s in Social Work, but who have minimal social work experience. Employees at this level perform casework requiring a higher-level expertise and knowledge of social service techniques.

Qualifications:

Experience:
No previous work experience is required at the Social Worker I level.
Education:
Possession of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university.

License or Certificate:

Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
