Salary:

$219,838 – $241,822 

Description:

The City Attorney must be an expert in forecasting problems
and in communicating and presenting alternative
solutions. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader
as well as a team player who provides meaningful and
legally defensible advice to City Council, boards, commissions,
and agencies, as well as to city staff and departments.
With a customer-oriented focus, the successful
City Attorney will provide timely responses, and have an
ability to identify relevant nuances that impact city policies
and operations.

Qualifications:

The City Attorney will possess equivalent to a Juris Doctorate
degree from an accredited college or university
and have membership in the State Bar of California. This
position also requires seven (7) years of increasingly
responsible professional legal experience in the practice
of municipal or governmental law, preferably trial
experience.
