Description:

The City of Hidden Hills is a unique residential gated community nestled between the foothills of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County and the Ventura County line. Hidden Hills has a total land area of just under two square miles and a population of approximately 1,900 on 648 home sites. Residents enjoy a city that has preserved a country way of life. Fire and law enforcement services are provided by Los Angeles County. Water is provided by the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District.

The City Manager is appointed by the City Council and serves as the operational head of city government. The long-time City Manager is retiring after decades of service. Accordingly, the City Council now seeks qualified candidates for the position with an emphasis on those candidates that are highly motivated, tech-savvy and engaging. The candidate’s management style must be adaptive to a small and cohesive work space.

Qualifications:

Experience as a City Manager, Assistant or Deputy City Manager is required although the City will entertain inquiries from high-level senior management analysts that work in complex public sector organizations. A BS/BA in a related field is essential and an MS/MA/MPA/MBA is ideal.
