The County of San Mateo’s newly created Office of Sustainability is seeking a well-qualified Climate Resiliency Specialist to empower our employees and our community members to embrace sustainability more fully and use resources more efficiently.

The Climate Resiliency Specialist (CRS) is the lead staff person responsible for the coordination and implementation of the county’s resilience strategy, with a focus on sea level rise vulnerability and adaptation. This effort, partially funded through a California State Coastal Conservancy Climate Ready grant, will be a collaborative effort between all the cities and the county to identify the vulnerable assets within the region and the risks present.
