The County of Sonoma Seeks a Skilled Leader to Become a Code Enforcement Division Manager!

As a Code Enforcement Division Manager you will:
• Supervise a team of professional and technical staff to accomplish Code Enforcement’s mission and work plan
• Read, interpret, and provide recommendations on the implication and application of new and edited regulations
• Work collaboratively with other County organizations to interpret and apply laws, regulations, State and County Code, and ordinance requirements regulating zoning and land use, grading and storm water, building safety, and safe health practices on private property development
• Represent PRMD before administrative hearing officers, judges, the County’s Board of Supervisors, and other governing bodies residing in and outside the County of Sonoma
• Assist legal counsel in the preparation of criminal complaints and civil actions related to abatement activities

Qualifications:

Qualification for this position normally include training received at an accredited college or university or course work which includes: Code enforcement practices, investigative practices, building inspection, public health, planning, environmental studies, business administration, business law, public administration, management, supervision, speech, public relations, or biological or physical sciences AND at least four years of increasingly responsible experience, including project leadership, administration, management or supervisory roles.
