Description:

Nevada County’s Community Development Agency (CDA) is one of the larger agencies in Nevada County, with over 135 employees and a budget of $33 million. The CDA provides fiscal, administrative, management, long-range planning, and coordination services that support the efforts, authority, and duties of five major departments and two divisions: Agricultural Commissioner, Building Department, Code Compliance Division, Environmental Health, Planning Department, Public Works Department (including Roads, Engineering, Wastewater Treatment Operations, and Transit Systems), and Farm Advisor Division. 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be uniquely qualified and bring a collaborative spirit and vision to the on-going management of Agency programs in order to continually balance the need to meet customer service levels within expected turn-around times for the various functional areas of the Agency. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressively responsible management and supervisory experience in one or more of the functional areas that comprise the Agency.
