Description:

The Contra Costa County Employees’ Retirement Association (CCCERA) located in Concord, California is offering an excellent career opportunity for individuals interested in the field of retirement system compliance. Under the general supervision of the Compliance Officer, the Compliance Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between system users and information technology staff, vendors and service providers.

This classification is distinguished from the IT Programmer/Analyst in that the latter has primary responsibility for the technical aspects of system design, construction, modification and maintenance, whereas the Business Analyst class is responsible for the conceptual and operational aspects of adapting information systems to business needs and communicating those needs to information system professionals, which requires that incumbents possess broad and detailed knowledge of department policies, programs and practices. Requires the use of tact, discretion and independent judgment and thorough knowledge of the concepts, practices, procedures and policies of assigned function.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field directly related to business administration, accounting or technology and two years of experience in business process analysis, major computer system implementations, project management, change management, large group facilitation and/or major analytical or research studies. Knowledge of internal control systems, pension administration, GASB and investment management is preferred.
