Description:

The Contra Costa County Health Services Department has an excellent opportunity for a Conservatorship/Guardianship Program Manager in Martinez, CA. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing a program which provides case management and estate and public conservatorship services for Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Conservatees and Probate Conservatees.

Typical duties include conducting needs assessment of LPS Conservatees and Probate Conservatees to ensure the appropriate case management, estate management and public conservatorship services are provided; developing policies, procedures and methods for implementing and managing the delivery of services; reviewing and interpreting legislation and regulations which impact the program; coordinating and interfacing with other agencies which provide treatment and care to conservatees; providing consultation to case management staff in clinical diagnosis and treatment planning; advocating for programs that serve the needs of conservatees; managing or delegating the management of estate investments, sales and expenditures of the conservatees; analyzing alternatives and taking necessary action to benefit the conservatee’s estates; and providing advice and consultation to the Deputy Conservator.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include possession of a Master’s degree in business or public administration, social work, psychology, or closely related field, possession of one of the following professional licenses: a valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology; or a valid license as a Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Behavioral Sciences; or a valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Behavioral Sciences; and possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s license. Requires 2 years or full-time equivalent experience providing supervision of a Laterman-Petris-Short (LPS) conservatorship program.
