$71,032.70 – $86,340.70/year

Description:

The Contract and Program Specialist will oversee a variety of contracts in one or more of the Commission’s key priority areas of Health & Well-Being, Early Childhood Learning & Development, and Family Support & Parent Education. Under general direction of the Executive Director or Deputy Director – First 5 Solano, incumbent develops and administers contracts for services; reviews and evaluates service proposals; recommends solutions to contractual problems; and ensures compliance with County policies and procedures.

The incumbent is responsible for providing staff reports to the First 5 Commission (governing board) on topics related to the area of assignment. In addition, the position may be responsible for internally run programs such as community engagement, special funds, and/or system changes and performs related duties as assigned.   

This position is an “at-will” senior management position and is exempt from the civil service; incumbents serve at the discretion of the Appointment Authority.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Two (2) years of progressively responsible business or contract administration experience AND graduation from an accredited college or university with major upper division course work preferably in business, public administration, finance or accounting.
