Description:

The Transportation Department has an opportunity for a Contracts and Grants Analyst to support the funding needs of the Transportation and Land Management Agency (TLMA). The position will be tasked with researching, writing and applying for state and federal grants to fund public works projects throughout TLMA. The Contracts and Grants Analyst will work closely with project managers and partner agencies on the maintenance of existing contracts and grants, and will submit amendments as needed. The Department desires candidates with broad governmental grant experience, as well as those with knowledge of government regulations and legislation related to grants and contracts.

Qualifications:

Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business or public administration, or a closely related field. (Additional qualifying experience may substitute for up to two years of the required education on the basis of one year of full-time experience equaling 30 semester or 45-quarter units.)

Experience: Three years of experience in preparing and processing state or federal contracts, purchases of service contracts, processing or preparing grant applications, conducting competitive bids, formulating policy and procedures, and negotiating contracts with private industry.
